I Gotta Be Free!

So, yesterday we had a final show and tell of our Samplers for the Free Motion Fillers Class Series. They were fantastic! 

Over six weeks we have covered over twenty Filler designs plus variations, and also six border designs. It was a lot to take on and my students absolutely went for it, really exploring designs and even combining designs to create new ones of their own. After such a brilliant response, I felt they deserved a reward and encouragement, so we had a prize draw for the completed Samplers. The lucky winner chose two spools of thread from my stock…and I threw in some machine quilting needle too. Congratulations!

I love Free Motion Quilting and my favourite thing is to teach this amazing skill and to encourage other quilters on their own journey to nurturing and loving this skill too. It’s been a fab few weeks and I’ve been delighted by my students’ response. Well done to all of them, I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
